Drawing mandalas has always served as a form of meditation but another enchanting avenue for experiencing this ancient art form has emerged – mandala art embroidery patterns.
I created Zentangle/Mandala coloring books for adults years ago and couldn’t resist converting some of the designs into embroidery patterns to share with you. They will make beautiful statement art pieces but will obviously require more work than regular patterns due to the intricacies of the designs.
In this collection of mandala art embroidery patterns, you will find from simple to more complex designs to suit all levels of experience. All my mandala type patterns can be done using basic stitches, making them accessible to all embroidery enthusiasts.

Please note that these patterns were designed to fit rectangular A4 sizes, meaning they won’t look right displayed in regular round embroidery hoops. Get creative with your displays and think about unique wall hangings, framed masterpieces or even incorporate them into larger textile artworks.
